Trevor Hurley

Trevor Hurley brings a strong educational background in geology, graduating in 1993 from Imperial College, London, with a Master’s in Structural Geology and Rock Mechanics. His professional career has focused nearly 30 years on rig-based data acquisition and well monitoring. From starting as a trainee mudlogger offshore in the South China Sea, Trevor has built service companies, consulting, software, and staffing businesses from acquisition or startup to divestiture. He possesses a depth of industry management experience, the essential client trust, and the skills to identify business opportunities.

Service

In support of deepwater operations, Petram supplies teams or individual Operations Geologists, Wellsite Geologists, Pore Pressure Analysts, and Geoscience subject matter experts. Given the complex and challenging nature of Deepwater operations, our geologists bring a deep understanding of the geologic processes that shape the subsurface, are adept with the latest technologies and tools, and will communicate effectively with other professionals and stakeholders, including managers and regulatory agencies.

Managed Pressure Drilling

To maintain precise control over the pressure exerted on the formation during drilling and prevent formation damage and unwanted fracturing take a combination of advanced drilling technology and all- important expertise to implement a managed pressure drilling service. Petram provides the MPD Well Planning Engineers, commissioning oversite, inspection, project managers and MPD Wellsite Supervisors and MPD Operators to deliver the efficiencies and reduce risk the oil companies want.

Patrick Quinlan

Patrick Quinlan graduated from Plymouth State University in 2007 with a Business Management degree. Patrick stepped into the staffing business world directly after college and has progressed in this industry since. In the past 16 years, he has developed an extensive knowledge base of the contingent staffing needs of the energy sector and the specialist requirements of drilling operations. Patrick built our business no matter the economic climate and built trust with our clients, leading to extensive long-term business relationships.

Service

From onshore Alaska to the outer continental shelf of the Gulf of Mexico, Petram understands the variety of factors that shape the choice of drilling fluid, including the types of geological formation being drilled, the depth, the directional profile, downhole pressure, and temperature profile of the well, and critical environmental considerations so we may best provide a skilled Drilling Fluids Specialist to run our clients’ mud system where it’s a Water Based, Oil based of Synthetic Drilling fluid.

Subsea Systems

The engineers charged with commissioning, testing, and maintaining some of the most critical offshore drilling equipment, such as the blow-out preventers, the marine riser, and drilling compensators in the challenging Deepwater drilling environment, need the best help. Petram supplies this through a dedicated team of well-trained, safety-conscious Assistant Subsea Engineers providing this assistance to the rig’s Subsea Engineering Team running the subsea system
