Overview
We are looking for an experienced Rotating Control Device (RCD) Operator, or someone with RCD experience, for an onshore drilling operation in North Dakota. The role is a rotational, day-rate contract position based at the rig site in the Williston Basin.
Responsibilities
• Operate, service, and maintain RCD and rotating head equipment throughout all phases of the Client's drilling program
- Rig up, function test, and rig down RCD equipment in line with Client and OEM specifications
- Monitor RCD performance during drilling, tripping, and connection operations, and troubleshoot equipment issues in real time
- Inspect, change out, and record service life on RCD bearing assemblies and sealing elements
- Coordinate directly with the Client's company man, driller, and MPD crew on well plans and upcoming operational stages
- Provide on-call technical and troubleshooting support to the rig crew
- Maintain accurate field records, service reports, and equipment documentation for Client review and audit
Participate in JSAs, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and incident investigations
Qualifications
Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) or underbalanced drilling experience
Prior Williston Basin / Bakken experience
Unconventional land drilling and pad-drilling experience
