Our client drilling onshore in North Africa required independent due diligence Pore Pressure & Fracture Gradient analysis for a series of exploration wells to satisfy local partner, regulatory and internal controls. A viable solution was required with limits on offset data, time to delivery, and budgetary constraints.
To deliver the analysis, Petram’s Pore Pressure Specialists worked with our software developer to create a streamed line analysis process, write and test, against regional fluid models, a small suite of bespoke algorithms for each field.
Analysis time per well was reduced by 37.5%, and low (P90) (high) P10, mid or best (P50), and (high) P10 estimates of pore pressure and fracture gradients for expected fluid type calculated well within the desired tolerances for each well.
