Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Offshore Wellsite Geologist to support well planning and drilling operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with well path planning, real-time geosteering, and operational decision-making in unconventional shale plays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide geological supervision during drilling operations offshore
  • Monitor and interpret cuttings, mud logs, gas data, and LWD/wireline logs
  • Identify formation tops, hydrocarbon shows, and pore pressure indicators
  • Advise on casing points and well trajectory adjustments
  • Correlate real-time data with pre-drill models and offset wells
  • Deliver accurate daily geological reports and end-of-well summaries
  • Liaise with offshore drilling teams and onshore subsurface teams

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or Geoscience from a recognized University.
  • Process strong spoken and written communication skills.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years deepwater drilling experience in the specific role of Wellsite Geologist.
  • Experience with QA/QC of wireline logging operations, including rotary sidewall coring and MDT sampling.
  • Extensive well-monitoring and PPFG analysis skills and experience
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
